 Tiverya (Tiberias) is located in the northern part of Israel on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret). Tiverya is one of the four Jewish holy cities; the others are Yerushalayim, Chevron and Tzfas (Safed).  The town is steeped in Jewish history. In Tiverya there are several Tombs of pious Jews, amongst the most outstanding personalities in Jewish history, - including those of the Rambam, the Matriarchs; Rabbi Akiva; Rabbi Hai and his Sons; the Ramchal and that of Rabbi Meir Ba’al HaNess. The Jerusalem Talmud was written in Tiverya. The population of the city is @45,000. Tiverya is a unique town due to its location and rich history. Tiverya is a wonderful and well known tourist city. The Kinneret  is one of the most beautiful and breathtaking landmarks in Israel, an amazing combination of beauty and religious history merging together.
